1) Registration to the website:
To be able to see certain pages and videos, you NEED to register.
- Please read carefully the instructions, so you can begin exploring the website as soon as possible.
- An example of the form you will see at the time you register is detailed below.
- The format for each field is specified on the right of each window inside the form
- BE CAREFUL: The FIRST FIELD: NAME, is NOT your USERNAME. You should complete this field as follows:
P# LASTNAME FIRSTNAME |
- DO NOT USE COMMAS, DOTS, COLONS, ETC.
- LEAVE ONE SPACE BETWEEN THE PERIOD # AND LAST NAME AND ANOTHER BETWEEN LAST NAME AND FIRST NAME.
- Example: Your name is John Doe and you are in my 3rd period class, The NAME field will look as follows.

Students who use a different format will be deleted and you will not have access to your class web site.

2) Registration in Quia
I will register you in QUIA, a web based program that we use to do homework, quizzes or tests.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you SAVE YOUR INFORMATION in your notes, your pictures (in your telephone) or better, in your lab notebook
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR INFORMATION AT THE TIME OF A QUIZ, OR TEST, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE IT AND YOU WILL RECEIVE A "Z" which is equivalent to an F |
Your username will be "FirstnameMiddleInitialLastname528" (some exceptions will apply).
Your original PWD will be the last 6 digits of your SCHOOL ID #. DO NOT USE LEADING ZEROES.
Example: my school ID is 1234567, I will use 234567, but if my ID # is 0012345, I will use 12345. (WITHOUT LEADING ZEROES.
3) Registration in Remind
I will be sending instructions and reminds about the class, homework, pop quizzes, etc. It is very important that you and I get connected.

4) Documents List:
This page contains all the hyperlinks to letters, forms and documents you need to print at some point during the year.
Most of these documents were prepared using Microsoft Office® programs such as WORD, POWERPOINT OR EXCEL. If you don't have Microsoft Office in your computer you can download the programs from "LibreOffice 5.1." This website allow you to download and install programs very similar in contents and features to the ones in Microsoft Office®. The main difference is that these are open programs and they are available to you for free.
Syllabi
All classes must read the syllabus carefully and ask me about any questions you may have. Then PRINT THE LAST PAGE, complete and submit the completed form to me.

4) Media Release Form
Every student in my classes needs to print, fill out and turn in the following form (English or Spanish version). If your parents do not agree with the form, I need a letter from your parents with your name and ID #.This form is only in case we take a video or a picture of a lab or experiment and your face appears. I will not publish them in any social network.
5) Textbook Release Agreement
Every student not using a hard copy book in my classes needs to print, fill out and turn in the following form
